This course provides an in-depth introduction to the principles, instrumentation, and applications of mass spectrometry (MS) in analytical sciences. Students will explore ionization methods, mass analyzers, detectors, and data interpretation strategies, with a focus on modern techniques used for small molecules, biomolecules, and complex mixtures. Special attention is given to tandem MS (MS/MS). The course combines lectures, problem-solving sessions, and hands-on examples, preparing students for practical use of MS in research and applied settings.
