The course aims to support students to develop and manage their projects mandated under 7C3-PSM-2 (part I and II). It will closely follow the Project Management Institute methodology described in the PMBOK Guide (6th edition) but will also talk about the Agile methodology and the differences with the waterfall PM methodology and change management following the PROSCI methodology.

At the end of the course students should have a good understanding of the processes involved in the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing the project. They should acquire fundamentals in the 10 knowledge areas of project management: integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, procurement, risk, communication and stakeholder management as they are linked to their practical projects as well as basic notions of change management.

The course will present the basic definitions in project management, the role of the project manager, expected competencies and code of conduct. Each session will provide information for students to apply in the preparation of their practical project; they should submit and present the documents prepared for the following session.

At the end of the course a mock MCQ will familiarize students with the PMP certification exam and will validate the acquired knowledge.
